Abstract

PT Ruang Raya Indonesia (Ruangguru), founded in 2014 by Belva Devara and Iman Usman, is Indonesia's largest non-formal educational technology company, serving over 22 million users and 300,000 teachers across 100+ subjects. Its web and mobile app services include virtual classes, online exams, subscription-based learning videos, and private tutoring. Partnering with 32 Provincial and 326 City and Regency Governments, Ruangguru has won awards such as Solver of MIT, Atlassian Prize, and Google Launchpad Accelerator, with its founders recognized in Forbes 30 under 30 Asia and Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur awards in 2019. This program aims to develop energy-efficient applications using AI technology, covering programming with terminal, VSCode, Git, and networking. Participants learn Golang, focusing on data types, pointers, error handling, concurrency, file management, third-party API usage, and authentication with JWT or OAuth2. The curriculum includes HTTP, REST API development, design patterns, clean architecture, and basics of mathematics and machine learning for AI models. Critical and logical thinking skills are emphasized for project development and problem-solving. Key experiences include mastering Golang programming, engaging in live sessions and mentoring, using APIs, implementing authentication, developing REST API applications, and understanding AI and machine learning for practical applications like AI assistants for energy management in smart homes. These experiences provide a strong foundation for ongoing technology development and skill enhancement.
